I was finally able to get out from behind my camera and workstation long enough to get to the theater and see a film. Luckily it was one of the best I’ve seen in a LONG time. District 9 is a film by first time director Neill Blomkamp, and was shot for a budget of only $30 million… I have no idea how they pulled it off!
I would love to tell you all about the film, but it is such a new type of movie that I don’t have the heart to ruin it. So instead I will just say that you MUST see it in theaters, it is what a film should be… an experience! It is a 2 hours ride, and the best part is… I had no idea where it would go next, which now-a-days is a rare thing.
